[00:00:20] Hello everybody and welcome to season one episode one of Enter The Rift podcast

[00:00:24] Your place for the paranormal the weird and peculiar

[00:00:28] I'm your host Kenny and joining me is my co-host Garrett on this episode

[00:00:32] We're talking about some of the lesser known monsters of West Virginia

[00:00:35] So let's move Mothman over and shine a light on what else looks in the shadows

[00:00:40] So some you know Mothman he gets all all the attention from West Virginia

[00:00:45] Let's look at some of the weirder and like lesser known ones. So let's start with the

[00:00:53] vegetable man Jennings Frederick was a man that was a bow hunting in the woods north of Fairmont, West Virginia

[00:00:59] He heard a high-pitched sound that's sound like a sped up recording a voice reportedly said to him

[00:01:05] You need not fear me. I wish to communicate. I come as a friend. We know of you. I

[00:01:11] Come in peace. I wish medical assistance. I need your help

[00:01:15] And when he heard that he looked over and he saw a thin green

[00:01:20] Creature that was a humanoid shape about seven feet tall

[00:01:24] it had long pointed ears

[00:01:28] yellow eyes and

[00:01:31] It had seven inch long fingers that had like needle tips and

[00:01:35] suction cup ends

[00:01:37] right after the

[00:01:39] Right after he saw that

[00:01:41] The entity grabbed him and put him into a trans like state the creature's eyes turned from red to yellow to orange

[00:01:48] We're game rotating hypnotically

[00:01:50] He then drew blood from Frederick's arm which took about a minute

[00:01:53] The entity then ran away up a hill and the witness heard a strange humming noise

[00:01:58] Which he thought might be some sort of craft taking off

[00:02:03] After a little while he recovered from his trans like state and returned home

[00:02:07] He didn't tell any of his family what he saw instead. He just been scratched by a briar patch

[00:02:14] A month later he then told the story to the UFO researcher Gray Barker West Virginia

[00:02:21] Who who's he's the one who dubbed the creature the vegetable man now? I think

[00:02:27] that is just kind of weird you're just out minding your own business and

[00:02:33] this thing that's about

[00:02:35] Seven feet tall is so persist to be like stupid thin like an arms of dairy thin they're kind of and there he's green

[00:02:44] he's got long pointed ears and

[00:02:48] Like I just grabs a hold of you like paralyzes you and sucks your blood out like what do you do in that situation?

[00:02:54] either a this dude is on drugs or

[00:03:00] This is

[00:03:02] Yeah, this is definitely one of the weir stories. I've ever like heard especially since it's a one-off which

[00:03:08] The fact that he waited kind of seems like either he was shaking up by something the

[00:03:15] Man who wrote the story an interview didn't really give much of his opinion on the man himself

[00:03:21] But it's a little odd. It's all it's it's pretty weird

[00:03:27] Yeah, I'd say so I'd say that I don't know that this guy just make it up like for attention

[00:03:34] I know some

[00:03:36] Sources have said it's a hoax other people says just like a this is a true account

[00:03:43] But um, it's just very very weird to think that you know

[00:03:48] You're just you're just minding your own damn business and this thing is jumps your ass and steals your blood and then runs away

[00:03:54] Like what does that doesn't scream like any I need medical assistance if you just steal blood and then run away

[00:04:01] Yeah, well, I guess this guy can at least be appreciative that this didn't happen during the AIDS crisis because

[00:04:07] Let's let's be honest a railfin man walks up to you and it sticks you with a needle after asking for help

[00:04:13] It kind of raises some red flags. Oh

[00:04:17] God

[00:04:19] Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I guess that's yeah, that was a good point there

[00:04:23] Well, yeah now somebody did that to you you hear a weird humming noise. You probably assume you just got stuck with a fint needle

[00:04:31] Yeah, that's also something that you didn't probably have to worry that that much about back in 1968

[00:04:38] Yeah, especially in Fairmont, West Virginia. That wasn't that's

[00:04:43] Yeah, that's the pre

[00:04:45] You know heroin highway days, so it's not that bad

[00:04:48] That's true another creature that we can talk about is actually the the ogre and what that is is it's basically a

[00:04:58] gigantic snapping turtle

[00:05:00] That lives in the Monongahalo River

[00:05:02] Which runs from Pennsylvania down into West Virginia? So this

[00:05:08] monster or turtle sometimes it has

[00:05:12] Is depicted with two heads one of the oldest accounts to that was from a European

[00:05:18] recording was back in 1746 and

[00:05:23] I'm supposedly a 12 year old boy was playing along the bank of the river and all of a sudden

[00:05:29] The it came out from the river grabbed him and drug him off his family search for

[00:05:37] Hours but yet could not find the body so a giant snapping turtle

[00:05:41] Reportably nearly 20 feet long and over 500 pounds

[00:05:45] So an absolute beast of a snapping turtle the biggest ones I've seen

[00:05:52] Maybe 20 30 pounds like nothing anywhere close to that and could you so could you imagine just the

[00:05:59] Like what would you do if you just saw something that's coming out of the water?

[00:06:03] And you know how fast the a snapping turtle can like snap by it. Yeah, imagine one jump 20 times big

[00:06:11] Yeah, so imagine something like the size of a Volkswagen coming at you

[00:06:16] Yeah, so and you mentioned that it drugged the boy off. Yes, and yeah, okay

[00:06:21] Yeah, that that sounds pretty large considering

[00:06:24] The largest one I have seen was when I was on the Cino canal in the Park Service

[00:06:29] It was roughly the whiff of a tire

[00:06:33] Track in the trail it bit at the rake and this is a

[00:06:37] Bit of a defense mechanism they do is when they jump and snap they also tend to

[00:06:42] Shoot liquid feces out their ass like a super soaker and it smells absolutely horrendous

[00:06:49] So I would not want to be hit by the back end spray of something the size of a Volkswagen

[00:06:53] Oh, no, that would be that'd be pretty god-awful there some researchers

[00:06:58] Believe that maybe it was actually just a rogue alligator that made its way up

[00:07:03] To the river for going from the Mississippi into the Ohio and then into the Mon River which

[00:07:09] Maybe that makes a little bit more sense

[00:07:12] Seems highly unlikely due to the environment because I feel like that would be more common

[00:07:18] Yeah, and everyone well, I don't say not everyone but a lot of people would at least I would imagine

[00:07:24] At least have an idea of what a crocodile looks like because you know people

[00:07:28] Is that not in 1746 obviously people were living down like Louisiana, Florida?

[00:07:34] And so the native peoples would know and the European settlers there should know too what a like an alligator

[00:07:40] Looks like but it gets a lot colder up in West Virginia. They compared to like Louisiana

[00:07:47] So the snapping turtles they they can hibernate they can they can live in over the winter

[00:07:53] I don't know if an alligator would be able to survive like below freezing temps for like as long as

[00:08:01] It lasts up this far north. Yeah, not to mention the

[00:08:05] alligator compared to a snapping turtle is

[00:08:08] one bit of a leap there

[00:08:12] considering the snout and also the

[00:08:15] The lack of a shell

[00:08:17] Yeah, you know the big huge spikes and for those have anyone who's listening who hasn't hasn't seen one before

[00:08:25] It's not like a smooth shell like all of like small box turtles or anything like that

[00:08:30] These shells there they have very big spiked ridges on the back and

[00:08:34] That's pretty noticeable and they're really easy to see that I identify like oh, yeah, that's a snapping turtle

[00:08:41] It's not like something

[00:08:43] And you wouldn't really confuse that for anything else

[00:08:46] Especially if you're someone who's like out near the water in the woods if you're an

[00:08:50] Outdoorsman a fisherman like you you know what a snapping turtle looks like and you know what an alligator looks like especially now

[00:08:56] Yeah, and the the proportions of the shells for those who have not seen them

[00:09:00] it's more of a oblong oval than a

[00:09:03] Like most people have seen in their yards and gardens a small box turtle and like you've mentioned

[00:09:09] It's they're more spiked ridged and tails are more of a longer tail than a

[00:09:16] Box turtle they actually have a tail at least quarter length of the body

[00:09:21] So compared to an alligator, which is you know substantially longer tail

[00:09:25] It's kind of hard to misidentify for sure

[00:09:28] And this was primarily seen in the southern Monago-Hela River

[00:09:32] So anyway a lot sometimes it was also known as like the Holt monster or the

[00:09:37] Reevesville monster, which is another area in kind of north central, West Virginia around the the Morgan town area

[00:09:44] If people are familiar with that

[00:09:45] It's like the northern part of the state another

[00:09:48] Monster where we can be talking about is the Grafton monster, which is a little bit more famous

[00:09:53] Some people may know that one a little bit better this story takes place back on June 16th and 1964

[00:10:00] Robert Cockrell a young reporter in his mid 20s for the Grafton Sentinel ended his evening shift around 11 p.m

[00:10:07] He was heading home in his car driving along Riverside Drive, which follows the Tigard River

[00:10:11] He knew this road very well and zipped along at about 50 miles an hour

[00:10:15] He was for the most part alone on the road as most residents at this time were in bed

[00:10:19] The night was clear and cockerels and good spirits

[00:10:22] He rounded a curve and entered a straight section of the road about a mile long

[00:10:27] His headlights caught something that he knew immediately was out of place

[00:10:30] It appeared to be a huge white obstruction on the right side of the road

[00:10:34] Standing between the road and the riverbank on a clear off section of grass as soon as he saw it

[00:10:39] It wasn't just an object, but it was a thing a beast of which the likes he had never seen before

[00:10:44] It started seven to nine feet tall and it was about four feet wide

[00:10:49] It was a stark white with slick seal-like skin or a covering that resembled still skin

[00:10:55] It had no head as he passed it the thing did not move but cockerels tell that whatever it was it was alive

[00:11:01] This terrified him and shun chills racing up and down his spine

[00:11:06] Cockerels slammed his foot down on the gas pedal and sped off and when he got home

[00:11:11] He was tempted to barricade himself behind locked doors. He was able to calm himself down

[00:11:15] He rolled out duty as a reporter called for him to return to the scene to investigate

[00:11:20] He recruited two friends Jerry Morris and Jim Moser to accompany him when they arrived at the spot

[00:11:26] However, the thing was gone. They searched up and down the riverbank for more than an hour

[00:11:31] But found nothing there were no tracks although the grass where cockerel had seen the creature had smashed down by something

[00:11:37] That appeared to be quite heavy

[00:11:38] It was though the monster was there and instantly not there

[00:11:41] Without ever leaving the area while they searched they had an odd low whistling sound coming from the direction of the river

[00:11:48] The whistling seemed to follow them, but they could not see whatever was making the noise

[00:11:53] So that to me is just pretty crazy to see something like that that big and no

[00:12:00] No trace of it whatsoever like it just like no tracks leading to or from it's just there one moment

[00:12:06] And when it's when they get back. It's just gone

[00:12:10] so that

[00:12:12] The fact that there's no tracks and it's just like gone out of nowhere

[00:12:16] That makes me think like it's some kind of interdimensional

[00:12:19] like being because

[00:12:22] If it was like maybe I guess an if it was an alien

[00:12:25] I guess the the ship could have picked it up if it was in the air

[00:12:29] But no one reported seeing anything flying through the sky

[00:12:31] so that makes me think like it was in this reality and it just

[00:12:36] Right out of right out of here. Yeah, they're one minute and gone

[00:12:40] Could you just imagine being that guy and you have to convince two other people, you know to go out and look for this shit

[00:12:46] Like just imagine calling your buddies up or going to their door knocking on it and going hey

[00:12:53] I need you to come with me. I saw this giant headless monster

[00:12:59] And we got to go look for it

[00:13:00] like just imagine trying to eat one not end up in the freaking nut word immediately

[00:13:07] Trying to convince somebody to go see this shit

[00:13:10] And then also while you do arrive after getting them to come up with you

[00:13:14] You hear weird noises with no tracks and it's it's basically

[00:13:20] Falling you intermittently when you hear the noise the whole time, but there's no tracks. Yeah, that's just crazy

[00:13:27] Some might say oh he was probably like drunk or high or like he was just too tired driving home

[00:13:33] Like you know that late at night, but later he told the

[00:13:37] The story to Gray Barker who's one of the was a unknown investigator in that area at the time of the of UFOs and other

[00:13:44] Paranormal phenomena that he knew the road very well. The night was clear

[00:13:48] He was not overly tired or exhausted nor was he under any emotional stress

[00:13:53] So like so like he's you know, he's just coming home. He's feeling pretty good

[00:13:58] He's not gonna having like any kind of like mental breakdown

[00:14:02] He's not like you know just falling asleep and having like I said a hit the gognik

[00:14:06] Hallucination like this guy he's minding his own business and he just sees some kind of crazy

[00:14:12] Creature like standing on the side of the road, which is pretty crazy

[00:14:16] I guess so later after that he did make a report and then it just it caused like kind of like a

[00:14:22] Hundreds of people were like running around trying to find the headless horror

[00:14:28] Similar to like the

[00:14:30] Experience after the mothman encounters, you know one report goes into the newspaper and the whole town starts looking kind of situation

[00:14:37] Yeah, so everyone was looking for a while. There were some

[00:14:41] more official investigations by state and county officials, but they

[00:14:46] They'd made a cursory search of the area and they said they found nothing

[00:14:50] Which I mean if all they found was an area of smashed grass and all of a sudden

[00:14:55] Later like the next couple days you have like hundreds of people running up and down the riverbank looking for it

[00:15:01] Like they'll trample down any other grass that was around there

[00:15:04] You wouldn't be able to tell really where it was. Yeah, not to mention

[00:15:07] You know the fact that the area has bears. I mean multiple times. You know you go for the woods

[00:15:13] You'll see smashed down

[00:15:14] Groves of grass and that could be deer bear

[00:15:18] even sometimes, you know like a flock of

[00:15:21] Turkeys can come through and actually you would assume it by looking at it

[00:15:25] You would think of a larger animal

[00:15:26] But when grass gets smashed down over a time of multiple areas of animals grazing

[00:15:31] It's kind of hard to track where exactly they you know went to and fro and the whole time

[00:15:36] They're just scattering all over the place let alone people coming through scattering all over the place

[00:15:40] Oh, yeah for sure back here point of saying like

[00:15:44] How how's that? Yeah, I feel to be that guy trying to convince his friend

[00:15:48] I know if someone just came up to my house like who knows if it was 11 o'clock or night

[00:15:53] Or maybe it was the next morning when he's going back to look at it or possibly just later into the night

[00:15:58] I mean it didn't really give a description of when they left

[00:16:01] Yeah, could you imagine be like I need you to help me find this nine foot tall headless monster?

[00:16:06] I'd be like the hell you do like do you gotta get up before in the morning. I gotta go to work

[00:16:11] It's like you want me beating her so either these are some really good friends or this dude can freaking like he can convince

[00:16:18] People to do just about anything which little concerning if you can convince somebody to go out in the middle of night

[00:16:23] Just to go look for a monster kind of makes you think well how good of you are writing a story

[00:16:27] Yeah, that's that too like how if you're just like a really good actor like or if you're super convincing

[00:16:34] Can you just like make it up to like draw attention to run?

[00:16:39] And he's a reporter would you be you know trying to drum up a huge story to get more like business to your

[00:16:46] To your employer like he was running this huge story of his new monster in the area and like just to drum up

[00:16:52] Yeah happens to be a reporter happens to be you know in the area when it happens happens to be the first guy to see it

[00:17:00] Yeah, it's a little suspicious. I mean I guess he has a good pretty good character

[00:17:05] I guess like most I think people believe them otherwise

[00:17:08] Maybe they wouldn't have came out and drove to look for it

[00:17:12] But other because like it's not like you know the local crazy guy with the cardboard sign saying the end is nigh

[00:17:19] You know the ten foil hat on his head like yeah, this guy's not walking around wearing trash bags on his leg

[00:17:25] Yeah, he's not your typical homeless dude who's just out in the streets rambling look at that guy and be like

[00:17:31] Oh, he's just he's just crazy

[00:17:32] Like don't believe anything he says but if you have like an actual reporter who works for a place with like good reputation

[00:17:39] And he's saying like he saw yeah a good reputable observer who has a you know well at that point in time

[00:17:45] You know the the media was a little bit more believable

[00:17:48] So if someone just came out and said something in the media most people would take it as fact

[00:17:53] Oh, yeah, they were much more trusting of the media and the institutions back then compared to today

[00:18:00] Now if a newspaper ran the story of like something like this guy saw this creature out and by driving home at night

[00:18:08] I'd be like okay. Yeah, I mean let's face it the

[00:18:12] We we've all seen the film of the tic-tac UFO and just about everybody said oh that's neat and then moved on

[00:18:20] The news cycle is just so fast now that like you know like two days later or something else

[00:18:26] Oh, there's this new political scandal. Oh, no, this this new thing happened with the election

[00:18:30] Oh, no this this celebrity. Yeah, this celebrity said this the celebrity did that celebrity drop a new sex tape

[00:18:37] Oh my god. Yeah, we're not talking about a time in which people were getting bombarded

[00:18:43] Not just every day, but every other hour with some kind of breaking news clip of something like

[00:18:48] Absolutely abhorrent or shocking or anything like that or this is at the times when you know

[00:18:54] You read something in the paper and you just took it for what it said. All right moving on to the next monster

[00:18:59] We have the sheep Squatch it was encountered in West Virginia and some parts of Virginia

[00:19:04] So the sheep Squatch is about the size of a bear with woolly white hair its front paws are more like hands

[00:19:10] But similar to those of a raccoon, but much much bigger

[00:19:14] The tail is long and without hair

[00:19:16] The head has a long dog-like snout and single pointed horns like those of a young goat

[00:19:23] It's rarely seen in most sightings over the years in West Virginia have been centered in Boone, Conowa

[00:19:29] Putnam and Mason counties

[00:19:31] And then a rash of reciting was reported in Boone County in the mid 1990s

[00:19:36] So in 1995 a couple driving through Boone County slammed their car to a halt when they spotted a weird white

[00:19:42] Beast in a ditch alongside the road at first it looked like it was a woolly white bear

[00:19:47] But then they saw I had four eyes the creature left out of the ditch and attacked the car

[00:19:52] They sped off and then they got home examine the car

[00:19:55] They found the car was covered in scratch marks on the side from where it attacked them then in 1999

[00:20:02] Two campers in Boone County heard snorting and snuffling sounds in the woods as they sat by their campfire

[00:20:08] They were and they were not far away from their house a screen a sheep Squatch

[00:20:12] Suddenly jumped out of darkness and charged them the campers fled toward their home

[00:20:17] Pursued by the thing when they cleared the woods the harried beast stopped and let out a blood-chilling scream

[00:20:23] Then it receded back into the forest

[00:20:26] The next day the campers returned to their campsite the trail in the saint were tore up as though someone was taking a tiller to the earth

[00:20:33] So this thing must have been just going and absolutely trying to shred

[00:20:38] Everything it possibly could so it's got a little bit of a temper. Oh, yeah

[00:20:43] But could you just imagine being those people right now? You're sitting around a fire with your friends talking and

[00:20:49] hearing weird noises and then all of a sudden a

[00:20:53] Albino giant rat horned man kind of charges at you. Yeah, and good. Yeah, could you just imagine that and then so one

[00:21:00] There's the smell of sulfur

[00:21:02] So and two

[00:21:05] In one of the sightings it had four eyes

[00:21:08] That doesn't seem like a normal

[00:21:11] Cryptid to me. It's that seems something more like yet demonic like it's it's a yeah

[00:21:18] At least an interdimensional being that's malevolent if you don't want to describe

[00:21:23] Yeah, which like more of Judeo-Christian belief system to it. Yeah, which you would just basically describe

[00:21:30] So basically yeah, you would just describe a demon which would basically be under the more of the

[00:21:38] secular idea of just the

[00:21:41] interdimensional malevolent being

[00:21:43] Which a lot of people describe the smell of the the sulfur coming off of like

[00:21:50] UFOs and other sort of encounters such as like the Flatwoods monster and many other UFOs

[00:21:56] I believe the Barney Hill encounter also mentioned sulfur, which is very odd that all of them

[00:22:03] Bring that smell up for the most part other than a few of these accounts

[00:22:07] Yeah, and there's that the sulfur smell

[00:22:10] But like if you go back to like how you're saying about the graph them monster

[00:22:14] There was that strange whistling noise

[00:22:16] Some people report hearing like a weird whistling or a weird metallic sound

[00:22:22] Before they actually have an encounter with one of these weird creatures. It could be whatever that's also been

[00:22:28] reported in dogman encounters is

[00:22:31] That there's a weird noise before they actually see one of these beings

[00:22:36] Almost like a tearing in a dimension and a gate opening kind of thing like a wrist

[00:22:41] Yeah, which would lead more to like an interdimensional theory instead of these creatures being just flesh and bone

[00:22:48] It's not to say that they're not physically here or real, but maybe things are more

[00:22:54] Complex than what we we think and it's not just a biological

[00:22:59] Undiscovered animal. Yeah, which would explain the lack of physical evidence of fossil record or

[00:23:06] Archaeological finds like or any mention other than just like

[00:23:10] Here a mouth folklore like you know like some of them make the native tales of like some of the you know folklore

[00:23:16] They have which many of the Native American folk lords

[00:23:19] Revolving around like what we call bigfoot

[00:23:22] Mention that they travel through trees not like a physical being or anything like that

[00:23:27] Yeah, so that's definitely a possibility and and how these things, you know

[00:23:32] They disappear almost seemingly without a trace if you can go on to some more sightings here in Mason County

[00:23:39] Three people reported seeing what may have been a sheep's watch one winter night

[00:23:42] They were driving from Huntington to Charleston via Point Pleasant heavy snow began falling

[00:23:47] Slowing their speed near Arbuckle in a lonely and heavily wooded area

[00:23:52] They rounded a bend going about five to ten miles an hour on the slick road

[00:23:56] The driver glanced to his left and saw a white furry creature that looked half man and half animal

[00:24:01] It had a sheep like face ram like horns and dog like paws

[00:24:06] It stood up on its hind human like legs

[00:24:09] Stunned the driver stopped and back up not believing what he was seeing his two friends

[00:24:13] Hello creature and started screaming reasonably action

[00:24:16] The creature looked straight at the driver and then ran away on its hind legs

[00:24:20] One of this passengers was so spooked that he laid down in the back seat the rest of the way home

[00:24:27] Like this guy was so

[00:24:30] Terrified he was just like I'm hiding until we get back. Yeah, I would I'd probably have the similar reaction of just

[00:24:37] shock and horror at that

[00:24:39] I I would definitely be a

[00:24:41] In a state of panic

[00:24:43] And so that's back closer to Point Pleasant again, which is so many weird things happened in that area and

[00:24:52] It's just kind of crazy how many like

[00:24:55] Episodes of high strangeness there was from that area. Yeah, and this when exactly did this?

[00:25:01] Particular sighting occur again back in the late 1990s

[00:25:06] Okay, so it wasn't during the initial flap of like the moth man and the men in black encounters all throughout Point Pleasant

[00:25:15] During the what was it the 50s? Yeah, this was about 30 or 40 years later

[00:25:21] Yeah, that's a little odd

[00:25:22] But it's the fact that everything is occurring around like the flat woods and Point Pleasant areas

[00:25:27] Pretty of note there for sure onto another sighting a sheep's watch may also have been the creature observed in Mason County

[00:25:35] 94 by young former Navy seaman the young man grew up in Gallup, Ohio

[00:25:40] Which is just across the river from Point Pleasant

[00:25:42] He became interested moth man

[00:25:45] It was looking for evidence to spruve the entry figuring in a reverse way that if he could find no

[00:25:49] Disproof then he would be able to prove that moth man was in fact real what he was out driving alone tracing down UFO leads along a

[00:25:57] Creek bake north of Bethel Church Road. He didn't see any UFOs

[00:26:01] But as he locked along the creek, he was startled by the sounds of something large crashing through the brush ahead of him

[00:26:07] Since Mason County doesn't really have any big predators

[00:26:10] He thought the creature must have been a very big dog or perhaps even a stray cow

[00:26:14] Nonetheless, he froze an uncertainty hoping that he would not be wrong about what he was nonetheless

[00:26:20] He froze an uncertainty hoping that he would not be wrong about what was coming through the brush

[00:26:25] And then what came through was not unlike anything he had ever seen before

[00:26:29] It was large and had matted brown white fur

[00:26:32] He couldn't tell if it was dirty white or was brown the white undercrew the beast walked in all fours

[00:26:38] And went to the creek where it now to take a drink putting out paws that look more like hands

[00:26:43] The head was long and pointed

[00:26:45] Dog-like in shape and sprouted large single point horns the creature reaped of sulfur

[00:26:52] Horrified the young man again with the sulfur another one was sulfur. Yep

[00:26:56] The young man drew back into the brush

[00:26:59] Afraid to move or make a sound after slaking its thirst the creature crossed the creek and went off towards Sandhill Road

[00:27:06] The young man waited until he was certain it was far away

[00:27:09] And then he ran as fast as he could to where he parked his car and making his report the witness said he did not

[00:27:15] Assume that the software odor meant that the creature was fire and brimstone or demonic

[00:27:19] Lingering chemical pollution in the tnt area has a soft for smell smell. He said so perhaps any creatures in that area

[00:27:27] Could have possibly absorbed the odor

[00:27:29] But when I think that I'm thinking so there's areas that are

[00:27:34] These things are at least similar things have been seen that are miles and miles away from the tnt area

[00:27:41] So there's no way that they all have a sulfur smell

[00:27:46] Because they're all like running around

[00:27:47] You would use that logic maybe more if you came across

[00:27:52] deer or

[00:27:54] You know any other form of wildlife that happen to have most animals just don't smell like sulfur

[00:28:00] Even if there's been like chemical spill in the area. It's

[00:28:03] At least to a most logical thinking, you know, it's not like how like you were around a campfire and you smell like smoke

[00:28:11] It's it's very odd that he would just mention that you know, maybe that's why I mean

[00:28:16] I guess you know when you're reaching for logic you might go to that kind of conclusion

[00:28:20] But you just encountered a unearthly

[00:28:23] being that smelled of sulfur and I

[00:28:27] Wouldn't be like the one to think well that smell was just cuz of the tnt area

[00:28:33] like unless you had that smell already in the air and because

[00:28:37] Wouldn't you come to the conclusion of you're out in the area? You would have smelled it, you know in general

[00:28:42] Yeah

[00:28:42] I would have thought that um if it's that that odor is that pervasive in that area

[00:28:47] You either most things would smell like it and eventually you just go nose-plied to it

[00:28:52] So how strong was the smell to be able to pick up on sulfur? Yeah, cuz if the pollution was

[00:28:59] So bad that it would stick to the the animal itself

[00:29:03] Wouldn't you smell that just going near the river like in like the water table when it just smells sulfur you would think anyway

[00:29:12] But so these things there they're horned some of them have four eyes they walk on

[00:29:19] two to four legs they have tails they have

[00:29:22] hands like either raccoons or like weird dogman hands and

[00:29:27] There they like charge people they live leave out like horrible screams. They have sulfur like smells

[00:29:34] That all sounds kind of like demonic activity

[00:29:38] Yeah, and if anybody is familiar with the Dresden files book series other than the color

[00:29:45] They basically described one of the

[00:29:48] The denarians like a Magog

[00:29:51] The only thing it's this thing is missing is a sigil on its forehead. Yeah, it's almost this was

[00:29:56] Before those books were written so maybe Jim butchered the offered maybe drew inspiration from this a little bit

[00:30:03] But like it either resembled something so much that a fiction offer was like yeah

[00:30:07] I'm gonna take that make it one of my antagonists and it's like a

[00:30:11] Fallen angel in a coin, you know

[00:30:14] Possessing a body. I know he probably took a lot inspiration from the lesser keys of Solomon and like the principalities and demons that are depicted in there

[00:30:22] because it's it's awfully similar to if anybody has ever showed any interest in that kind of

[00:30:30] Subjects like you got horns strange hands

[00:30:34] Hairless tails roughly the size of a large bear with multiple eyes that glow and it smells of sulfur

[00:30:41] This just sounds like a demon or something out of a horror movie. Yeah, we're something out of horror movie

[00:30:46] So out of all the things we've talked about what would be if you had to run into one of them

[00:30:52] What would it be? I'm definitely picking the vegetable man. Let's let's face it

[00:30:55] He he's got the build of a fentanyl attic. He probably doesn't have the best reflexes

[00:31:01] But he also kind of seems to hit you with a shock and surprise and comes up and sticks you with a needle

[00:31:07] so I

[00:31:08] Feel like if I'm gonna walk up on any of them

[00:31:12] I'm going to take the vegetable man or maybe the big turtle because the big turtle is just

[00:31:17] Stay away from bodies of water actually. I might yeah, let's let's go with the turtle

[00:31:20] Well, I was gonna say with with vegetable man Jennings walk who he walked away fine

[00:31:25] They just thought his family just thought he got scratched by a bush

[00:31:27] So like apparently it didn't like inject anything. It just took blood from him. So

[00:31:33] That would be pretty good for me personally

[00:31:36] I I don't know if I would definitely be either between that or the

[00:31:39] Agua like he said because like it's a big turtle like you could probably just avoid it if you kept your distance

[00:31:46] Like it's probably not gonna charge you but you know, I don't know because of both swag and size snap and turtle coming

[00:31:53] Out me doesn't sound like a fun time either

[00:31:55] But I definitely know a nine-foot tall headless creature or a yeah

[00:32:02] Charging and screaming at me. Yeah with rototiller hands at companion

[00:32:08] So I definitely think yeah, I'm definitely

[00:32:13] I'm a stick with if I'm gonna see any of them. I'm going for the turtle. I'm going for the Agua

[00:32:20] Next runner-up is definitely the vegetable man because he let's face it

[00:32:23] He's got the same build as the average of vegan influencer on tick top

[00:32:30] Yeah, so you could probably could probably take him in the fight, you know, you can snap I could take the vegetable man

[00:32:36] He probably eats nothing but soy and sits around talking about he's a vegan every four seconds. So

[00:32:45] He's the next runner-up after the turtle
