[00:00:19] Welcome to Enter The Rift Podcast 2024 Halloween Special. I'm your host Kenny and joining me is Garrett.

[00:00:28] Yo!

[00:00:30] And today on this episode we're actually going to be talking about our own personal paranormal experiences.

[00:00:39] Alright, so do you want to go first? I feel like we're in an AA meeting.

[00:00:44] Hello, my name's Garrett and this is my paranormal encounter.

[00:00:48] Yeah, sure. I can start with uh, with uh, something that I saw.

[00:00:54] Uh, so this happened, I was, I would say maybe, I don't know, 12 or 13, fairly young.

[00:01:03] And this is back when Garrett and I used to share a room together in bunk beds.

[00:01:08] I was on the bottom bunk. We always used to sleep with the TV on for just for light and sound to help

[00:01:15] help us fall asleep. And one night, I'm not too sure if I woke up or I haven't quite fallen asleep yet,

[00:01:26] but it was fairly late. And I remember waking up with just this feeling of something not right,

[00:01:33] not something not being right. There was like...

[00:01:35] And the George Lopez theme song was playing and it was free, 30, free AM.

[00:01:40] Oh.

[00:01:40] It was all distorted.

[00:01:50] But after I realized something wasn't right, I started looking around and then my eyes kind of landed on it.

[00:01:58] And it was this black blob like thing that was darker than the whole room around it. It was like he took a shadow

[00:02:10] and just like made it like even more dark, like it contrasted with everything even more. It was like blacker than black.

[00:02:18] Like the kind of what you always hear with like the shadow people stories.

[00:02:24] Yes. Yeah, exactly like that. It was exactly like that.

[00:02:28] Except this was instead of the one that had a more defined human silhouette.

[00:02:33] This one was more of just like a blob, which apparently a lot of people actually see things like that.

[00:02:39] It's not just the, you know, perfect silhouettes that people see of shadow people,

[00:02:44] which I've now learned from doing research on the show.

[00:02:47] Yeah, just an amorphous kind of darker than dark blob.

[00:02:52] Right.

[00:02:54] And it was like a blob that I would say would be around three, three and a half feet tall.

[00:03:00] It wasn't huge, but it was pretty big.

[00:03:03] And it had glowing red eyes.

[00:03:07] They weren't just like a round eye.

[00:03:09] It was more like a...

[00:03:13] Almond?

[00:03:14] Like an almond shape.

[00:03:15] Yeah.

[00:03:15] Like a tilted almond shape that was glowing red.

[00:03:19] And I just remember being like petrified when I saw it.

[00:03:23] I couldn't look anywhere else.

[00:03:26] I was absolutely terrified when I saw it.

[00:03:29] I was so afraid to move.

[00:03:31] And I'm not sure how much time passed when I was just looking at this thing and it was looking back at me.

[00:03:38] And there wasn't any kind of confusion of whether or not it was looking at me.

[00:03:43] No, I knew 100% it was staring right at me.

[00:03:47] And after a certain amount of time passed, I just started to pray.

[00:03:52] That was the only thing I could think to do.

[00:03:54] And after that, it finally went away.

[00:03:59] And then I was...

[00:04:01] For the rest of the night, I was super scared.

[00:04:07] I didn't fall asleep until almost dawn.

[00:04:11] And then I woke up, you know, and when it was light out.

[00:04:15] But that was super terrifying.

[00:04:20] Like, I just remember there wasn't any noise.

[00:04:23] It was just like the noise or hum from the TV.

[00:04:27] And because we had one of those older TVs, this was...

[00:04:31] Yeah, this was like a 13-inch CRT TV.

[00:04:37] I think it was like a...

[00:04:39] RCA.

[00:04:40] Yeah.

[00:04:41] Yeah.

[00:04:41] It was like...

[00:04:42] I wish that we still had it.

[00:04:44] Because I kind of wish I had that just for playing like Super Nintendo and stuff still.

[00:04:49] But...

[00:04:50] Yeah.

[00:04:52] So if anybody has a 13-inch RCA CRT monitor from 19...

[00:04:57] Like 1990-something.

[00:04:59] That would be really nice.

[00:05:00] I would like to have a listing for that.

[00:05:03] Give me an offer.

[00:05:04] Nice.

[00:05:06] But yeah, so that's...

[00:05:07] I remember that.

[00:05:08] But just the waking up and you didn't see anything wrong at first.

[00:05:12] But you already knew something was wrong.

[00:05:15] It was just a perverse feeling of wrongness.

[00:05:20] Like something wasn't right.

[00:05:21] Yeah.

[00:05:22] And I looked over.

[00:05:23] Yeah, like same situation with almost all of my stories from that time when we were growing up.

[00:05:30] And that...

[00:05:31] Well, we refer to it as the shithole for a reason.

[00:05:35] But...

[00:05:37] Growing up in that...

[00:05:39] So...

[00:05:40] Single wide trailer.

[00:05:42] Yeah.

[00:05:42] Kind of a lot of reoccurring themes that...

[00:05:46] Well, y'all are going to...

[00:05:48] Well, hear about.

[00:05:49] Obviously.

[00:05:50] In this special.

[00:05:51] But...

[00:05:51] Yeah.

[00:05:53] So I know exactly what you mean by the overwhelming, like prevailing feeling of just dread and wrongness.

[00:06:02] Yes.

[00:06:03] Yeah.

[00:06:03] Continue.

[00:06:04] Continue.

[00:06:04] And so, yeah.

[00:06:06] And thankfully, it did go away.

[00:06:08] And I was able to get some rest.

[00:06:11] I guess for a little bit more backstory, I don't believe the trailer itself that we lived in was haunted or anything like that.

[00:06:22] I think the land we lived on was the issue.

[00:06:26] Yeah.

[00:06:27] There was just like a lot that went wrong.

[00:06:29] Like...

[00:06:30] So back when our grandma was alive and like was like praying over the ground constantly, we didn't have any problems.

[00:06:38] But once she went and there was nobody praying over the ground, it went weird real quick.

[00:06:47] Yeah.

[00:06:48] Things after that happened, weird things started happening with increasing frequency.

[00:06:55] And sometimes very intense.

[00:06:59] Yeah.

[00:06:59] There was a spring, like a natural spring on the ground.

[00:07:03] I don't know if that contributed to anything because I know some people say...

[00:07:08] Like ley lines?

[00:07:09] Whether there's a spring or anything like that.

[00:07:11] It's...

[00:07:12] Springs can be like portals.

[00:07:15] You know?

[00:07:16] It's them little fairy gnomes.

[00:07:17] They're coming over the border into our realm and they're...

[00:07:20] They're over here stealing our jobs.

[00:07:22] Oh my god.

[00:07:24] It's them illegal immigrants from another dimensions.

[00:07:28] Yes, people are illegally immigrating from the Feywild.

[00:07:31] Yeah.

[00:07:31] They're coming in from the fourth dimension.

[00:07:34] Oh my god.

[00:07:35] They're coming up for the well.

[00:07:37] That's why it tastes funny now.

[00:07:39] Stir dirty feet.

[00:07:41] Oh my god.

[00:07:42] That does play into it later though.

[00:07:44] The well water went sour.

[00:07:45] It did.

[00:07:46] Which was really weird.

[00:07:48] See, another time.

[00:07:49] This one...

[00:07:50] It's not nearly as scary.

[00:07:53] But our clothes dresser used to be right below the light switch in our room.

[00:08:00] And I was already laying in bed trying...

[00:08:03] Getting ready to go to sleep.

[00:08:04] And I asked Garrett...

[00:08:05] Hey, you're already up.

[00:08:06] Can you turn the lights off?

[00:08:08] And he's like, yeah, cool.

[00:08:09] And I remember vividly he reached over.

[00:08:12] Was getting ready to turn off the light.

[00:08:14] And we had a cheap $3 plastic canteen sitting on top of the dresser.

[00:08:20] And his hand was a foot and a half, two feet away from it.

[00:08:24] Yeah, something like that.

[00:08:25] I remember this.

[00:08:26] Yeah.

[00:08:27] And the canteen just went like...

[00:08:30] And launched itself at me.

[00:08:33] And it was crazy.

[00:08:34] Because he...

[00:08:35] No, he did not pick it up and throw it at me.

[00:08:37] He did not bat it with his hand.

[00:08:38] He wasn't even close.

[00:08:40] And we both...

[00:08:41] After it just flew right at me.

[00:08:43] Oh, and it's like almost of its own accord.

[00:08:46] I just remember we looked at each other.

[00:08:48] And we were like, what the hell just happened?

[00:08:51] Yeah, that was an odd moment.

[00:08:53] Because I believe I was still walking towards it.

[00:08:56] And my arm was out.

[00:08:57] But I haven't got quite close enough to hit the switch.

[00:09:00] Or even...

[00:09:00] Like I wasn't even...

[00:09:01] If I'm remembering right.

[00:09:03] I was...

[00:09:04] Okay.

[00:09:05] Door would be on my left.

[00:09:06] I'm standing right side facing Kenny.

[00:09:09] And I'm about to lean over.

[00:09:12] But I gotta take like...

[00:09:13] I don't know, like a step and a half more.

[00:09:15] To even reach the switch.

[00:09:16] So I'm not even like...

[00:09:18] To where I can grab the canteen.

[00:09:21] And it just...

[00:09:22] Whee!

[00:09:22] Went flying.

[00:09:23] And I believe a picture frame also fell off at the same time.

[00:09:26] Or that might have been two separate occurrences.

[00:09:28] No, that was a separate occurrence.

[00:09:30] And it wasn't like a picture frame you like...

[00:09:33] With like with the nail or like the little backer fails.

[00:09:36] It just drops straight down, right?

[00:09:37] Where I was at the time in our living room.

[00:09:40] We had like a love seat that I was sitting on.

[00:09:42] And you could see clearly back the hallway.

[00:09:45] And we had a picture on the wall.

[00:09:47] And this...

[00:09:48] The picture...

[00:09:50] It didn't just fall.

[00:09:51] It popped off the wall.

[00:09:54] Went to directly into the center of the hallway.

[00:09:59] Stood there for a second.

[00:10:00] And then fell straight down.

[00:10:02] Nothing hit the side of the house.

[00:10:05] Nothing...

[00:10:06] You know, nothing was connected with fishing line.

[00:10:09] I was the only one home that day.

[00:10:11] So I'm not trying to prank myself.

[00:10:14] It was just crazy.

[00:10:15] It was so weird.

[00:10:17] And just unexplained.

[00:10:19] It was just...

[00:10:20] I don't even remember what the picture was.

[00:10:23] Like what the picture...

[00:10:24] Like what the picture looked like or anything.

[00:10:26] Yeah, or who it was.

[00:10:27] Or if it was a person or...

[00:10:29] Yeah, I don't remember any of that.

[00:10:31] Oh yeah, for clarification for the audience.

[00:10:32] I am two years younger than Kenny.

[00:10:34] So when he's recounting stories...

[00:10:36] When he's like...

[00:10:37] You know, five and six.

[00:10:39] Just...

[00:10:40] Like for clarification.

[00:10:41] If I get something wrong, there's a reason.

[00:10:44] It's because...

[00:10:45] Yeah.

[00:10:46] I was still more...

[00:10:48] You know...

[00:10:49] Concerned about watching Barney and Boobas...

[00:10:52] In like Teletubbies at the time.

[00:10:54] So...

[00:10:55] But yeah, that was just...

[00:10:57] Very, very weird.

[00:10:59] That's the first and only time anything like that I've seen.

[00:11:02] So that was pretty odd.

[00:11:04] Another experience that I had there...

[00:11:07] This one's a little bit lighter.

[00:11:09] I actually think this one was kind of cool.

[00:11:11] So I was just chilling in my room.

[00:11:14] Not doing anything really.

[00:11:16] Just watching TV or...

[00:11:17] I might have been reading a book or something.

[00:11:19] Yeah, Kenny was a bit of the bookworm when he was a kid.

[00:11:23] It still is.

[00:11:26] But...

[00:11:26] Yeah.

[00:11:27] Not so much anymore, but...

[00:11:29] But you were always reading a book.

[00:11:32] Like sitting crisscross on your bed.

[00:11:35] Yeah.

[00:11:37] But at the time this happened, I thought it was so neat.

[00:11:39] It was just like a bunch of these...

[00:11:41] Like golden orbs kind of appeared in the room.

[00:11:45] And there was like dozens of them.

[00:11:47] And they were just kind of like floating.

[00:11:49] Kind of like bobbing up and down.

[00:11:52] Swifting like...

[00:11:53] Like I don't know, like bubbles on the wind or something like that.

[00:11:56] Except there was no wind in the room.

[00:11:58] And there was just like this weird feeling of just like peacefulness and calmness.

[00:12:04] And it was...

[00:12:05] It lasted maybe 30, 45 seconds.

[00:12:08] And it was just really...

[00:12:10] It was really cool.

[00:12:12] And little does Kenny know, he was about to be abducted by the Fae.

[00:12:17] Well, maybe I...

[00:12:19] Maybe I touched something that was made of cold iron and just cut that shit out real fast.

[00:12:23] Excuse me?

[00:12:24] You have scoliosis.

[00:12:25] Cold iron?

[00:12:26] You...

[00:12:26] You...

[00:12:27] You...

[00:12:27] You're not cold iron, homie.

[00:12:28] You have scoliosis.

[00:12:30] I don't have any implants.

[00:12:34] Oh my god.

[00:12:36] Oh yeah.

[00:12:37] I made of steel.

[00:12:38] I can't lift very heavy though because my back...

[00:12:41] I said maybe I touched something.

[00:12:43] That...

[00:12:45] Well, your mic cut out.

[00:12:46] So I didn't hear that.

[00:12:48] Oh my gosh.

[00:12:49] Oh, here it was...

[00:12:50] Yeah, yeah.

[00:12:50] Maybe I'm just like cold iron.

[00:12:52] That's what I heard.

[00:12:53] Oh my god.

[00:12:54] I'm just...

[00:12:55] Oh yeah, brother.

[00:12:56] I am cold iron.

[00:12:58] Yeah.

[00:13:00] Oh my god.

[00:13:01] It's just like...

[00:13:02] But don't look at my medical record because it's really bad.

[00:13:08] Oh my god.

[00:13:09] Kenny was a sick child.

[00:13:11] Yes, I guess I was.

[00:13:12] Yeah.

[00:13:15] He had scarlet fever.

[00:13:17] Yeah, that's not fun.

[00:13:18] Don't recommend it.

[00:13:19] Yeah, no.

[00:13:20] Or the spinal taps.

[00:13:21] Yeah.

[00:13:22] Yeah, so those orbs you saw,

[00:13:23] that's just because you were recovering from the spinal taps.

[00:13:27] That wasn't even close to what it was.

[00:13:30] Oh my god.

[00:13:34] I gotta be a dickhead every once in a while.

[00:13:36] It's fun.

[00:13:37] Oh my gosh.

[00:13:38] But I'm not the only one that's had any kind of weird paranormal experience now.

[00:13:43] Am I?

[00:13:44] No.

[00:13:45] And mine are bad.

[00:13:47] Yeah, I had some bad ones there and some good ones, but Garrett's had a lot of runs that

[00:13:55] were pretty rough.

[00:13:56] Yeah, none of mine were pleasant.

[00:13:58] All of mine were what the kids are calling traumatizing.

[00:14:05] What the kids are calling.

[00:14:07] Yeah.

[00:14:10] Oh my gosh.

[00:14:12] Yeah, so mine mostly involved sleep paralysis and, well, waking up with scratches on my back.

[00:14:20] Yeah.

[00:14:22] Yeah.

[00:14:24] I remember waking up with red marks, like a ring around my neck at one point.

[00:14:28] And I, granted, I don't know.

[00:14:32] I slept in contorted weird little balls like all the time.

[00:14:35] Like I was like, well, not as bad as you.

[00:14:36] Um, so, um, I'll start with the, uh, sleep paralysis ones.

[00:14:42] When I was younger, I would like, I was terrified of the dark and would, uh, mostly cause like,

[00:14:49] uh, I was seeing creepy shit.

[00:14:51] Um, is the easiest way to put it.

[00:14:53] But, uh, so I would run to our parents' room and I would usually crawl in bed with them

[00:15:01] or, uh, later on when I was sleeping on the top bunk had, uh, about the same, uh, experiences.

[00:15:09] Just, uh, a little worse, uh, when I was by myself.

[00:15:12] Well, I mean, you were in the room, you were just below me, but that don't count because,

[00:15:16] uh, I can't see you and I'm a kid.

[00:15:18] So, I remember waking up one night and, okay.

[00:15:24] So, in our parents' room, they had a painting of our, like, dogs, um, which, uh, they're

[00:15:32] both mutts.

[00:15:33] So, can't really give you a good description of what they look like other than, uh, one

[00:15:37] was like a Frenchie mix.

[00:15:39] So, he was like tiny as shit, but had like pointed clipped ears.

[00:15:43] So, uh, this will play into the story.

[00:15:46] That's why I'm dealing with this.

[00:15:47] But the other one was like, what was, what was Timber?

[00:15:51] Like a, like a, some kind of lab?

[00:15:53] The hell was she?

[00:15:53] I'm not too sure.

[00:15:55] I don't know.

[00:15:55] Uh, black mutt.

[00:15:56] So, like, both the dogs were, were, were black.

[00:15:59] So, the painting, of course, you know, you got vague outline of dog because it's, it's

[00:16:04] dark.

[00:16:05] So, but there's like enough light coming off of like, again, either old TV or whatever

[00:16:12] it was at the time.

[00:16:13] It may have been one of dad's many numerous alarm clocks that were LED.

[00:16:18] So, glowing in the room because he had like free alarm clocks because, you know, didn't

[00:16:22] want to be late.

[00:16:22] But, um, I, I like vividly remember these freaking alarm clocks.

[00:16:27] I think they still have them to be honest.

[00:16:29] But so like, that's, what's lighting the room.

[00:16:31] It's just like old eighties, you know, alarm clock, red, red glow around the room.

[00:16:38] I look up like just with my eyes, can't really move.

[00:16:41] And I just see the painting because it's like an angle to where if like, if your back's

[00:16:47] propped up with some pillows and you happen to be like three foot tall, because, you know,

[00:16:51] again, small child.

[00:16:53] I don't even remember how old I was at this time.

[00:16:55] So like spitballing.

[00:16:58] Definitely before, uh, like school.

[00:17:02] So like, uh, I didn't, I never had a, like a, a pre-K.

[00:17:06] So this was, I just went straight into kindergarten.

[00:17:08] So, um, I'm going to say, how old's pre-K age?

[00:17:12] Like four years old.

[00:17:13] Okay.

[00:17:13] Yeah.

[00:17:14] Let's, let's shoot for four.

[00:17:15] And what else, let's call it that.

[00:17:17] But I remember waking up the paintings, like the first thing I see, cause like the way I'm

[00:17:20] laying and I remember seeing like, you know, like the dogs and stuff.

[00:17:26] And I'm like, just waking up.

[00:17:28] I'm also a kid.

[00:17:28] So I'm like, I'm like, Ooh, it's dark out.

[00:17:31] You know?

[00:17:32] And, uh, the painting just for some reason, like really like drawed me in for some reason.

[00:17:39] I was just like staring at it, like intently.

[00:17:41] Like I didn't know why I was, but it's something just felt wrong.

[00:17:45] Kind of like Kenny mentioned before to something just felt really wrong.

[00:17:48] And the more I looked at it, the more wrong it felt.

[00:17:52] And eventually I remember seeing, you know, like a shadows cast, like it starts to grow

[00:17:57] like, like the length deal.

[00:18:00] Like it looks like it's like stretching.

[00:18:01] Yeah.

[00:18:02] It looked like the dogs were stretching, but I remember seeing is like the, the head turn,

[00:18:09] but like it looked free dimensional, even though it was a shadow, it was just dark,

[00:18:13] dark.

[00:18:14] And it looked like it started to like come past the edge of the painting, but still

[00:18:18] like a shadow clinging to the wall, which was weird.

[00:18:21] So, cause it didn't have like depth, but it looks like it was casting like a free dimensional

[00:18:25] shadow, which is really weird.

[00:18:27] I don't know how to describe this.

[00:18:28] I don't know.

[00:18:29] Imagine like, I want to say like, uh, um, you ever seen like the framework for a sprite

[00:18:33] in a video game before it gets like the skin put on it?

[00:18:36] Like, like the, um, like the actual like coloring and depth.

[00:18:39] It's just kind of like polygon shaped, just like the wire, the framework.

[00:18:44] Imagine that, but like had like a tint over the whole thing that was just black.

[00:18:49] That's how I best describe this.

[00:18:51] I'm not really good at painting the picture of how this looks.

[00:18:53] Painting the picture.

[00:18:54] It came out of a painting.

[00:18:55] Womp womp.

[00:18:56] But, um, I remember it, it looked creepy as shit.

[00:19:00] Imagine like a fox eared humanoid, like on top of its head.

[00:19:05] Like, so like, uh, imagine like, if you will, a like benzodiazepine trip with like a bad shadow

[00:19:13] people experience, but it was like an anime girl with fox ears on top of its head.

[00:19:19] Oh my God.

[00:19:20] So, you know, it's not an anime thing.

[00:19:21] It's just like that silhouette of like the weird freaking hairband with like the ears on top,

[00:19:26] but it's humanoid.

[00:19:26] So just creepy shit.

[00:19:28] And I remember seeing that thing and its eyes were like yellow, orange, red kind of ish, kind

[00:19:36] of like a gradient effect to it.

[00:19:39] Weren't glowing, but it wasn't like eye shine either.

[00:19:42] It was just like, you could see the color, even though the rest was dark.

[00:19:45] Best way I can put it.

[00:19:46] And I remember just looking at it and being like totally terrified, couldn't move.

[00:19:52] And then eventually I either was able to, because I'm trying to remember this shit.

[00:19:56] This was, I'm four years old.

[00:19:58] So like, this is like a memory of a memory kind of situation.

[00:20:02] I remember just kind of like maybe eventually being able to like roll over to like one of

[00:20:07] our parents and just like burying my face in like their back.

[00:20:10] And then that's it.

[00:20:11] I was, I was out cold again.

[00:20:13] Yeah.

[00:20:13] So that's the earliest creepy memory I have.

[00:20:16] Yeah.

[00:20:16] That doesn't sound like a very fun time, especially as a small kid.

[00:20:21] Yeah.

[00:20:21] No, not at all.

[00:20:21] Especially when you're just like, uh, uh, why the shadow is moving and, uh, it's creepy.

[00:20:33] But yeah, so that's my earliest, I guess you would say paranormal.

[00:20:38] Again, this could just be child's imagination.

[00:20:41] You're it's dark.

[00:20:43] It's scary.

[00:20:44] Ooh, you know?

[00:20:46] Yeah.

[00:20:47] But you could also argue, is it a child's imagination or a child's innocence being able to see stuff

[00:20:53] that's not quite innocent?

[00:20:54] Because everybody says about how they saw creepy shit when they're, everybody was a kid at

[00:20:59] one point and every kid has had the, the monster at the edge of the bed experience at some

[00:21:05] point.

[00:21:05] Everybody's been like, everybody has had some kind of creepy.

[00:21:09] They think they see a monster at night when they're a kid.

[00:21:12] Yeah.

[00:21:12] So it's like, is it that children are innocent and therefore can perceive evil spirits?

[00:21:17] Or is it, you know, like just, you know, imagination.

[00:21:20] I don't know what to tell you, little dude.

[00:21:24] Quit shitting yourself.

[00:21:26] Yeah.

[00:21:27] It's not that scary.

[00:21:28] Calm down.

[00:21:30] Yeah.

[00:21:30] Oh my gosh.

[00:21:32] So later on after that one, I remember at some point.

[00:21:36] Okay.

[00:21:37] So I believe this is before we switched rooms.

[00:21:40] Obviously this is just for me to paint the time and, you know, area for Kenny.

[00:21:46] Cause y'all don't know how the rooms are laid out or which one we were in.

[00:21:51] But, um, uh, but before we switched rooms, I remember, uh, at some point.

[00:21:59] So, okay, this is a trailer built in, what was it?

[00:22:02] Like 65.

[00:22:03] So like that.

[00:22:04] Yeah.

[00:22:04] So trailers, you know, not the best shape.

[00:22:08] Trailers aren't made to last for that damn long.

[00:22:11] So we had the closet doors that you kind of slid on a track, kind of like the Japanese

[00:22:16] style doors, except that the wheels and casters are long gone at this point.

[00:22:24] And it's just like wood on wood.

[00:22:25] So it's, it's, it's kind of shit.

[00:22:27] Um, not going to lie, kind of shit.

[00:22:30] Um, it made a lot of noise and it's going to play into it.

[00:22:34] So you, you just, well take two pieces of wood and rub them shits together.

[00:22:39] There's going to be some noise.

[00:22:40] Um, so I remember the way how the room was laid out.

[00:22:45] The bunk bed was, uh, against the closet door because it was a sliding door.

[00:22:51] So, you know, we only opened up one side, but there was two of them that would cross

[00:22:55] over each other.

[00:22:56] If you were facing the doors, left side was covered up because of the bed and I'm on the

[00:23:01] top bunk.

[00:23:02] So I can still reach over and slide the door open from where I'm sitting and reach in the

[00:23:07] closet and pull stuff out.

[00:23:10] Um, so I can like get to the top shelf that way.

[00:23:13] And that's where I had some like, I don't know, stuffed animals and stuff.

[00:23:17] But I remember waking up, looking down cause I was asleep on my back, which was really

[00:23:21] weird for me at the time.

[00:23:22] I never slept on my back until now I do obviously cause getting older sucks and I have shoulder

[00:23:27] pain.

[00:23:27] But, um, I remember looking and seeing the door open with no sound, which was freaky as

[00:23:36] shit.

[00:23:36] And I couldn't move again, probably a sleeper house experience.

[00:23:39] Um, and I remember seeing just long spindly gray, like ash gray.

[00:23:48] So like, um, cigarette ash gray, like that, that weird kind of stained, like dirty ash gray.

[00:23:57] Right.

[00:23:58] Um, fingers come like come from around the corner of like the, uh, door and just grip

[00:24:06] the edge of the door, like just long spindly fingers, just grip it.

[00:24:09] And that's the last shit I remember from that, that experience.

[00:24:13] So, and this was, we didn't have internet.

[00:24:15] We didn't even have cable for a good chunk of our childhood.

[00:24:20] So yeah, I would describe this as like a pale crawler or like a rake kind of thing.

[00:24:27] Um, but again, we didn't have internet.

[00:24:30] So this was like 2002, 2001, something like that.

[00:24:35] Or no, no, this would have been after it.

[00:24:38] This was like 2003, 2004, something around there.

[00:24:41] If I'm remembering right.

[00:24:43] Yeah.

[00:24:44] I think that's, that's right around right time.

[00:24:47] Maybe like 2003, 2004.

[00:24:48] I remember seeing like the creepy hand and then I, uh, I don't know, somehow fell back

[00:24:57] asleep.

[00:24:57] Like one of those things where you're like, you're so like drained and tired.

[00:25:02] You look down and then you're out again.

[00:25:05] Like, it's just like, it was very quick.

[00:25:08] Um, but I remember like seeing that, like it's, it's very vivid in my mind still.

[00:25:14] So that was the second time.

[00:25:16] And that's just around the time when I started waking up with like scratches on my back.

[00:25:20] Oh yeah.

[00:25:22] Obviously I couldn't see my own back.

[00:25:24] Um, but if I'm remembering right, there was like three of them in a line just going like,

[00:25:30] I don't know, kind of longer than I would say like, uh, the fingertip to like the heel

[00:25:38] of your hand, like adult hand, not a kid, obviously.

[00:25:42] But, um, somewhere on that length, so like on like five inches, like scratch, just like

[00:25:46] in a group of three on the middle of my back.

[00:25:48] And mind y'all, I was a fat child, so I couldn't reach, I wasn't that most flexible to be able

[00:25:53] to scratch my own back.

[00:25:55] So, um, it was, I want to, I want to say free.

[00:25:59] Yeah.

[00:25:59] I want to say free lines, like just scratch.

[00:26:02] I can't remember really.

[00:26:03] I'm pretty sure it was three.

[00:26:05] All I remember is waking up with scratches.

[00:26:07] Then I, one incident, I remember waking up like gasping for air and I remember going

[00:26:14] to the bathroom and my throat being really red.

[00:26:16] Like, uh, like, like, you know, like if you like you, you squeeze your arm for like a

[00:26:20] couple of seconds and then let go and it turns, you know, like, you know,

[00:26:23] the capillary refill for your blood vessels and you get that color.

[00:26:27] But this was like knocking away, like, like strangulation marks.

[00:26:31] That also could have been just my dumb fat ass fell asleep with my arm across my neck

[00:26:36] face down.

[00:26:39] Oh my gosh.

[00:26:40] I remember that one, like freaked mom out.

[00:26:42] She was like, why is, why is your neck red?

[00:26:44] Yeah.

[00:26:45] And of course, uh, more sleep paralysis.

[00:26:48] You older I get.

[00:26:48] I only had one, uh, sleep paralysis experience as an adult, but I will get to that, uh, in

[00:26:53] a linear fashion.

[00:26:55] There was only two more, I believe, incidents when we were, um, kids, uh, living at the

[00:27:02] shithole.

[00:27:05] Um, as we in the family call it.

[00:27:07] Um, so we switched rooms with our parents and so we were in the addition that was just

[00:27:15] made for our parents and stuff.

[00:27:16] We still had the bunk beds, but no ladder anymore.

[00:27:19] I don't know why we got rid of the ladder, but, um, it was gone and I had to climb onto a

[00:27:25] dresser and then climb up into the bed.

[00:27:28] So there's no ladder.

[00:27:30] There's nothing, there's no, um, guard rails or anything, which kind of bit me in the ass

[00:27:34] at one point.

[00:27:35] Cause I did fall off and I landed on a metal toolbox.

[00:27:37] Um, but, um, yeah, that might be what's wrong with me.

[00:27:41] That and the numerous head injuries, but, um, oh my God.

[00:27:44] Um, yeah, I remember waking up one night feeling absolutely off.

[00:27:50] Like it was just bad and the windows were open.

[00:27:52] So there was light coming in.

[00:27:54] Not a lot, you know, like it wasn't like, you know, like daylight.

[00:27:57] No, it wasn't like early dawn either.

[00:27:59] It was like, I don't know, like one in the morning.

[00:28:02] Let's just spit ball it out there.

[00:28:03] Cause, uh, I don't know, but just to do it.

[00:28:07] So it was like one in the morning, paint the picture.

[00:28:10] I wake up, something don't feel right.

[00:28:12] I look over, like I roll on my side and I see about four, maybe three, four silhouettes

[00:28:21] of hooded looking figures that were dark.

[00:28:25] And the room's like pitch black, but there's like a little bit of light coming through

[00:28:29] the window.

[00:28:29] So just enough for me to make out shapes.

[00:28:32] And I remember seeing like, I want to say two feet in front of my face.

[00:28:37] There looks like a hood.

[00:28:38] Like I can't, I can see like the top of the head and where it comes wider at the shoulders.

[00:28:44] And I can't see anything past that point.

[00:28:46] Cause I'm on the top bunk.

[00:28:47] Uh, see behind there now my peripheral vision, a couple more of them, but of course they're

[00:28:51] farther back.

[00:28:52] So I can see a little bit more.

[00:28:54] And I, I remember seeing, uh, one on the left side of his shoulder.

[00:28:59] There might be another one farther off to the side, but I couldn't really tell.

[00:29:02] Cause I'm just like fixated on the one that's dead in front of me.

[00:29:05] Right.

[00:29:05] And I'm, I'm just like in that moment where I'm like, like trying to blink.

[00:29:12] So just my eyes and I'm like, am I, what is that?

[00:29:16] I'm just like blinking at it.

[00:29:17] And that's when it hits me.

[00:29:18] I'm like, I think that's like something.

[00:29:21] So I remember doing what all little kids do and you're, you go make a weird noise and

[00:29:26] you roll the hell over and you cover your head with the blanket.

[00:29:28] Um, um, so I remember, uh, just looking, rolling over, blinking a couple of times, seeing that

[00:29:36] freaking out like silently and just like kind of rolling around the bed and covering my head

[00:29:40] up.

[00:29:40] Yeah.

[00:29:41] Eventually I fell asleep.

[00:29:43] So same figures again, different night.

[00:29:47] I remember waking up and this was past when we had the bunk bed so that I'm now on the

[00:29:54] sleeping on a normal bed frame, like a normal human instead of climbing, climbing up without

[00:29:59] a ladder, like a monkey trying to get into my bed and, you know, kicking shit off the

[00:30:04] top of the dresser when I'm trying to get down in the middle of the night to pee.

[00:30:07] So yeah, finally sleeping like a normal person instead of knocking crap down and hitting Kenny

[00:30:12] in the head with stuff while I'm trying to get off my bed or like stepping on him when he's

[00:30:16] like half hung out of his bed cause he slept weird.

[00:30:18] And then I would get up in the middle of the night and then step on him.

[00:30:21] Um, so sleeping again, normal person this time.

[00:30:27] And on my side, I remember waking up something doesn't feel right.

[00:30:33] Rolling onto my back and seeing those creepy cloaked shadow people kind of silhouettes just

[00:30:42] like one at the foot of the bed and one on each side of Mike, the sides of my bed.

[00:30:48] And they're just like, it looks like they're staring down at me.

[00:30:51] Like, you know, like, you know, just imagine looking at somebody in a hoodie with their

[00:30:54] hood up and are staring down at like their feet and imagine, well, you're at their feet.

[00:31:00] So that's the silhouette and the view I got.

[00:31:03] And I remember just freezing up for a moment and then praying in my head, just kept like

[00:31:09] praying in my head and eventually just closed my eyes and just wouldn't open them just till

[00:31:14] I fell asleep.

[00:31:15] Yeah.

[00:31:15] That was the last time I had sleep paralysis as a kid.

[00:31:18] So you have had it as an adult, you said?

[00:31:20] Yeah.

[00:31:21] Yeah.

[00:31:21] And this was the worst one.

[00:31:23] This was the vivid, like tactile.

[00:31:29] So this wasn't just be what you would say, like hypnagogic hallucination, because this

[00:31:34] was more like I had tactile feeling.

[00:31:37] I heard audible hallucinations and had like, you know, visual.

[00:31:44] So I'm at my friend's house.

[00:31:47] I'm like 19, I want to say for clarification, people, I do not drink or smoke marijuana until

[00:31:53] well after 21.

[00:31:56] So stone cold sober.

[00:31:58] I'm at my buddy's parents house.

[00:32:00] I am asleep on his couch.

[00:32:02] The light in his kitchen is on, which is, you know, casting into the living room and I'm

[00:32:08] asleep, you know, on the couch.

[00:32:10] Normally his cat would always be this big old fat cat would always be laying on me somewhere,

[00:32:15] laying on my chest or my feet.

[00:32:16] I remember looking down like to see where the cat was because I still felt like a weight

[00:32:22] on my chest.

[00:32:23] And by the time I did that, I could see again, this is the long fingered pale thing.

[00:32:30] I see a finger like I want to say up to like the first like knuckle in the hand and like

[00:32:38] the other fingers were like wrapped up in a fist, like a pointer, like it's pointing.

[00:32:41] I see up to a wrist, like just a long, I want to say like a, like 11 inch finger and a big

[00:32:52] hand with like a, like balled up, like it looks like dandy long leg fingers.

[00:32:55] Just imagine like big ass, long, skinny, creepy ass fingers on like a small hand that it's like

[00:33:02] balled up fingers trying to point.

[00:33:03] It's really creepy looking.

[00:33:05] Yeah.

[00:33:05] Um, imagine seeing an arm like that come from behind your head point to the side with like

[00:33:12] it's coming from the right side.

[00:33:13] It's pointing to the left.

[00:33:14] So the arm is like the right arm and it's pointing.

[00:33:19] And I just see the finger go like pulled away to the side until I obviously is the fingertip.

[00:33:25] And the whole time I'm hearing just gibbering whispers, just creepy.

[00:33:29] It sounds like multiple people all talking in like an echoey room all at once, but it's

[00:33:35] quiet.

[00:33:37] So imagine just hearing like a bunch of like really fast talking gibbery noises behind your

[00:33:43] head, but it sounds quiet, but loud at the same time.

[00:33:46] Like it's like a muted or muffled, but you can tell like it would be loud if you were in the

[00:33:52] room with it.

[00:33:53] So I hear like that, I see the finger starts to retract from, you know, my vision.

[00:33:59] And by the way, I can't move.

[00:34:01] I'm trying to scream, but I can't because I'm, you know, sleep paralysis.

[00:34:05] I'm shitting bricks at the moment.

[00:34:07] And all I feel is a sharp, as soon as the finger leaves, I feel a sharp stabbing pain in

[00:34:16] my ear and like it's going into the center of my head.

[00:34:20] Oh God.

[00:34:21] Yeah.

[00:34:21] So like I couldn't, all I could feel was like that sharp pointy finger just being like

[00:34:26] driven through my ear hole and into my head.

[00:34:29] And that's when I started like screaming, at least trying to scream.

[00:34:33] It felt like I was screaming like throat, like, you know, like you scream and you like you

[00:34:37] make your throat feel real raw.

[00:34:39] Yeah.

[00:34:40] I could feel like that, like, like your, I don't know, what would that be like your vocal

[00:34:45] cords tearing or something?

[00:34:46] I feel like my voice is like, I'm about to lose my voice.

[00:34:48] Like I'm screaming so loud, but I wake up basically.

[00:34:53] And I'm like, Oh man, his whole house is going to be up.

[00:34:56] They're all going to sink.

[00:34:57] Like I'm getting stabbed down here.

[00:34:58] Like I'm getting murdered.

[00:35:00] I'm super embarrassed and freaked out.

[00:35:02] Cause I'm like, okay, I'm fine.

[00:35:04] I'm fine.

[00:35:05] It was a nightmare.

[00:35:05] Like it was just sleep paralysis.

[00:35:07] It's fine.

[00:35:08] And no one came downstairs.

[00:35:10] So I did not scream.

[00:35:12] Just like very vividly felt like I was.

[00:35:16] Yeah.

[00:35:17] That's pretty crazy.

[00:35:18] Yeah.

[00:35:19] So that's my last spooky, spooky experience other than some other stuff that we may be

[00:35:25] touching on later episodes.

[00:35:27] But, um, yeah, that was my sleep paralysis experiences.

[00:35:31] Luckily, none since.

[00:35:33] That's good.

[00:35:34] Um, cause that does not sound like a very fun time.

[00:35:38] Never had a good experience.

[00:35:40] Yeah.

[00:35:40] Uh, I was gonna say I've never actually had a full blown sleep paralysis experience like

[00:35:45] that.

[00:35:45] So I don't really know what that's like, but I imagine it's not fun at all.

[00:35:48] Well, even the times where like, I want to say like, I may have not have seen something,

[00:35:54] but I felt like I could see something like when I was really young, like with like the, um,

[00:35:59] the one I said, like I was blinking and I could like kind of like see like, like I'm trying

[00:36:03] to make out shapes.

[00:36:04] So, you know, when you're blinking the sleep out of your eyes and like, I saw like the free

[00:36:07] of them in the bunk bed, just that feeling alone.

[00:36:09] Like just the, like, uh, like the, the, that sharp, like there's something right in front

[00:36:13] of my face, like immediate, like that jump.

[00:36:16] Imagine that, but just drawn out for like an extended period of time and you can't move.

[00:36:21] Yeah.

[00:36:21] That doesn't sound like very appealing.

[00:36:24] Nah.

[00:36:24] I don't know how people like abuse freaking, you know, Benadryl for shits and giggles and

[00:36:31] do that.

[00:36:31] Yeah.

[00:36:32] I don't know how they, I don't want to be banished to the shadow realm.

[00:36:35] Don't do that shit.

[00:36:37] Yeah.

[00:36:38] Yeah.

[00:36:38] Me either.

[00:36:39] Yeah.

[00:36:39] I'm not, I'm not looking to crush up and snort some Benadryl.

[00:36:42] I'm not looking to talk to the shadow people and gibber at the walls.

[00:36:45] No, no.

[00:36:46] Or feel all those thousands of spiders crawling over your skin and biting you.

[00:36:51] Yeah.

[00:36:51] Not pleasant.

[00:36:52] Now pass.

[00:36:54] Yeah.

[00:36:55] So we've both had some very crazy or maybe not crazy, but unusual experiences.

[00:37:04] And this isn't even everything that we've really experienced, but we can't really say

[00:37:10] about everything or else it would just be too long of a show.

[00:37:15] So these were some of the more dramatic, I should say, events that we've experienced.

[00:37:22] Yeah.

[00:37:23] Mostly, uh, I would wrap all this up under the blanket term of the, uh, demonic encounters

[00:37:30] other than like your weird orb story.

[00:37:33] Yeah.

[00:37:34] Cause I don't think that was anything evil at all.

[00:37:36] Yeah.

[00:37:37] I don't think so either.

[00:37:38] But, uh, yeah, my experiences were all what I would just call demonic.

[00:37:44] Like, yeah.

[00:37:45] Low level entity, evil kind of shit.

[00:37:47] Yeah.

[00:37:47] Unclean spirit.

[00:37:49] Yeah.

[00:37:50] If anyone out there has had any kind of paranormal experience or story and they would like to

[00:37:55] share it with us, that would be really cool.

[00:37:57] I would love to hear anyone's stories that they have experienced.

[00:38:02] Yeah.

[00:38:03] And if anybody has an RCA monitor, 13 inches from around 1994, let me know.

[00:38:10] I want that shit.

[00:38:12] On the hunt.

[00:38:13] Yeah.

[00:38:14] You wouldn't believe how much a CRT like TV, like a small one costs nowadays.

[00:38:19] It's freaking nuts.

[00:38:20] Like going, get on eBay real quick and look at that sometime.

[00:38:23] Anyways, though, I hope y'all enjoyed the stories.

[00:38:26] Yeah.

[00:38:26] I hope everyone has enjoyed listening to kind of our, some of, some of our paranormal experiences.

[00:38:32] I know they're not as crazy as some people experience where they're like seeing dog men and things

[00:38:38] like that, but it's unusual to say the least.

[00:38:42] And I think a lot of it was really tied to that area where we were in at the time.

[00:38:47] Yeah.

[00:38:48] All right.

[00:38:48] Thank you everybody for listening to this episode of into the rift.

[00:38:53] If you've made it to this long in the show, thank you very much.

[00:38:57] It's very much appreciated.

[00:38:58] Please like, and subscribe, share this story with your friends.

[00:39:03] It is very much appreciated.

[00:39:05] Have a good night.

[00:39:06] Peace.
